A little christmas surprise....

We found out a few weeks ago we are expecting a baby in early Aug! We are really excited. Our family is happy and they were surprised. I don't think my parents thought we would ever have kids. Logan and I will be married 8 yrs in March so they have all been asking for a long time. I am only about 8 weeks now, but I am going to start posting pics soon. Hope you all had a great christmas!

Stop on our way...

Well, we left the condo yesterday in the A.M. and on our way to my parents we managed to see both of my grandparents because we took the back way home. We surprised my grandma Betty and she was so happy to see us. Made me happy to see her smile. I love visiting with her and wish that we did live closer. We then went down the road about 18 miles and stopped at my Grandma Janet's. She finally has broke down and decided she needs a laptop. Logan found her a good deal and we are going to get her all setup. She is going to love it. By this time it was almost 4 and my mom was off of work and my dad was up since he works nights now so we took all of our stuff to their house. We stayed a few minutes and then went to Logan's grandparents. It was nice to see all of our family and I look forward to the next two weeks visiting with all of them. I have to say though I am sick of living out of a suitcase! I can't wait to have a house again.

Little delay..

SOOO...the Marine Corps threw us for a little loop. We had the movers come and got the house rented back in the middle of Aug all in the same week. Logan went to work on that Friday and who do you think called? The Marine Corps to tell him that his orders have changed to Oct 21st. He can not report sooner because they changed his orders because they don't have room. We have heard rumors it is also because he has a flight contract and they have too many in that class. Who knows. Either way I had only packed close anticipating going to Quantico by Sept 1st. Can you say shopping!

We are fortunate enough that Logan's family has a condo downtown that they don't live in and they are letting us use. It is fun and I am trying to take everything a day at a time. I am really not that stressed out and just enjoying the time with Logan before he gets busy with TBS. Also, it has allowed us time to hang out with our friends in cbus a little longer. I really am going to miss the friends we have made. They are like our family so I know we will keep in touch with them! I am going to try to be better at keeping this updated, but I have a feeling it will have to wait until we get moved to our new house the middle of Oct.

This is the view from the 16th floor of the condo. It is so pretty!

What a difference....

8 years makes. I was looking through all of our pictures tonight when I should have been organizing for the movers. lol I can't believe Logan has been in the Marine Corps 8 years. If someone would have told me that he would still be in right now I would have said no way. The years have flown by. It has been a fun ride and we have made some great friends. I am looking forward to the next 12 or however many he decides to stay in. Here are some pics I found. It was fun to look through all of the pics. We both look so young!

Sex and the City

So I finally went to see this movie with some of my gf's last night. It was so nice to get away from all of this moving stuff and take a break. I loved the movie. I knew I would because I loved the show. I remember when Logan was in Cuba and the final episode aired. I cried. lol I don't know if it was because I was an emotionally wreck at that time or because it was the last episode. Either way that show always made me laugh and the movie didn't disappoint. I am so buying it when it comes out next month!

next chapter....

So I have been debating about starting a blog for awhile and finally decided with our move just around the corner that now is a good time. So you can see from my blog name that we are leaving Ohio. Almost four years ago we arrived here and I was so excited to be near family again. So many exciting things were going on. Wow, did that go by so fast. I always remember people saying you will look back and 10 years will be gone. I was a teenager then I thought I wanted to "grow" up. lol I have been an emotional mess these past few weeks. A few of our friends have already gone to VA (which is our next destination) and I am so looking forward to being with them again, but I have to say goodbye to a place we have called home for four years. Also to some good friends that I have met over the past couple of years.
I was going for a run yesterday and usually these runs are so relaxing that is why I enjoy running, but so many thoughts were going through my head that I started to tear up. I know I have so many great things to look forward to and should be thankful for that, but I guess I didn't realize how hard this would be on me. We have moved so many places and I was sad to leave, but I think it was more the people we met than that specific place that made me sad.

Since we don't live near a base right now for most people it is odd to them that my husband is a Marine and I get the question "Don't you hate that kind of life" I thought about it earlier today. Yes, I hate moving, but once I am settled I am fine. We have met so many great friends that if Logan was a civilian I don't think we would have met all of these wonderful people. That I am thankful for. So get ready VA because here we come...for about six months. lol

About Me

My photo
I am 28 years old (wow where did the time go) Married to my best friend for the past 8 years. We are having a baby girl in early Aug. We are naming her Addison Paige and we are so excited to meet her. We have moved six times in the past 8 years due to the fact that Logan is a Marine. It is sometimes a trying life, but we mostly enjoy it. I am going to try my best to keep up with this blog better once our little one arrives!
